Paige Davis
Paige Davis graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Psychology. A four-year starter, Davis primarily played right side for most of her college career. She reached over 1,000 in both career digs
and kills and left ranked in the top 10 in career kills, digs and aces. She made the All-ACC Freshman team and was given All-American honors her senior season (2003), becoming one of the first two players in
school history to earn that honor. Her younger sister, Shannon, is also a volleyball player at the University of Virginia.
Davis ended her 2004 summer by traveling Europe and then working for NBC at the Greece Olympics. With an interest in pursuing the beach volleyball game instead of continuing her indoor volleyball career overseas
Paige made her move to San Diego at the beginning of 2005. She has competed for 3 years on the beach circuit with two full AVP seasons under her belt. Her best finish came this past season with back-to-back 9ths
in Hermosa and Belmar, NJ. During her 3 years as a beach pro, Paige has remained a constant in the main draw of the AVP, won a few GAV and CBVA tournaments and garnered her first international win on the Crocs
Australia Tour in Port Macquerie in 2008.
Outside of volleyball, Davis formerly worked at the San Diego Hall of Champions as an event planner and marketing coordinator before moving to Hermosa Beach, the mecca of American beach volleyball. She still does
work in the events and marketing field and is currently working as a pro coach with Volleyball Vacations www.volleyballvacations.com.
Davis is originally from Texas and she can never get enough of some authentic Mexican food or a good steak. She ranks her family and close friends as the most important part of her life, with not only her
parents but grandmothers, Mary Lou and Faye, as her role models. A favorite quote of hers is, "Dance like no one is watching, Sing like no one is listening and Love like its never going to hurt".
